DIY Tip – Tackle Rig

Written by: Danny

diy-lures-rig

Are you tired of that messy tackle box due to all those lures with leaders always tangling? Here’s a quick DIY solution for you! Go to your local hardware store and pick up some pipe insulation that is found in the plumbing isle; it is very affordable! Less than $3.00 for 6 feet. Purchase a deep Plano tackle storage kit. Cut the pipe insulation to fit length wise in the Plano kit. Simply wrap your leaders around the foam and snug it tight. On the last wrap cross over the fishing line and then hook the fishing hook into the foam so that the wrap stays tighten. To secure it even more tightly, add elastic bands to run over top of the leader line. No more messy lures, easy to organize and quick to change out! All for less than $15!
